Summer Training: Adapting & Giving Yourself Grace
Hello Everyone,
We are deep into Summer, and let’s be honest, sticking to a fitness routine during this season can feel like a challenge with all the vacations, long weekends, and spontaneous plans. I’ve heard some of you express guilt for doing a shorter strength session or for only going for a walk because you're busy spending time with family and friends. Here’s the truth, it’s okay to adapt, and you don’t have to be perfect.
Please remember that something is always better than nothing. If you can’t squeeze in your usual workout, try dropping to two sets instead of three for that strength session, or take a quick walk around the block. Every little bit counts. Give yourself grace, life is unpredictable, and it’s important to enjoy these moments.
As summer winds down, September is a fantastic reset period. It’s the perfect time to get back into a routine and set yourself up to finish the year strong. The energy of a fresh start can be incredibly motivating! I’m excited to see all the progress we can make together through the end of the year, building on the foundation we’ve laid. Fitness is a lifelong journey, and the reason we invest in our health is so we can live life fully and be present with the people we love the most. Now is the time to embrace that flexibility, and come September, we’ll hit the ground running with renewed focus and energy.
So, enjoy your summer, spend time with your loved ones, and know that when the time comes, we’ll make this next phase of the year one to remember.
Feel free to reach out if you need support or adjustments to your routine. I’m here to help!
All the best,
Allison
